Mr Lai has helped me with my physics, helping me with any questions after class and spending time going through concepts and questions I do not know. I have been attending mindquest academy for around 3 years already and it has been relaly helpful for my physics foundation. Catching up with school was hard initially but now that my teacher, Mr Lai, covers the content before hand im able cope up :) we are also provided with ample resources that are able to prepare us for our exams with model answers as well. I would like to thank Mr Lai for being the best physics tutor i could ask for, making group sessions feel like 1-1s, the specific attention he gave me and other students helped me work closely on my weaknesses and ensure that i was fully confident in my physics capabilities. I started my Physics journey struggling with the subject and scoring around a D. Today, I’m consistently achieving As and was consistent with the numerous resources provided by mr Lai. He didn’t just teach Physics — he changed the way I saw the subject and made me genuinely enjoy learning it. His teaching style, patience and encouragement made all the difference. I joined Mr Lai’s physics class in Secondary 2, and learning under him has been one of the most impactful parts of my academic journey. When I first started, my Physics results were around a C6 and I did not have a very strong understanding of the subject. However, with Mr Lai’s guidance and teaching, my understanding improved greatly over time. Mr Lai has a very engaging and effective way of teaching. He explains concepts clearly and in a way that makes them easy to understand, which helped me build a much stronger foundation in Physics. His lessons are always interesting and he makes the subject feel much less intimidating. One thing that really stood out was how accurately he was able to predict many of the questions that appeared in the exams. This gave us a lot of confidence going into the papers and made them much more manageable. Thanks to his teaching and support, I eventually achieved an A for both O Level Physics and A Level Physics. This was something I would not have imagined when I first started struggling with the subject. Mr Lai also creates a very motivating learning environment. He recognises and celebrates students’ achievements and this encourages everyone to work harder and aim higher.
