I joined Mr Lai’s physics class in Secondary 2, and learning under him has been one of the most impactful parts of my academic journey. When I first started, my Physics results were around a C6 and I did not have a very strong understanding of the subject. However, with Mr Lai’s guidance and teaching, my understanding improved greatly over time. Mr Lai has a very engaging and effective way of teaching. He explains concepts clearly and in a way that makes them easy to understand, which helped me build a much stronger foundation in Physics. His lessons are always interesting and he makes the subject feel much less intimidating. One thing that really stood out was how accurately he was able to predict many of the questions that appeared in the exams. This gave us a lot of confidence going into the papers and made them much more manageable. Thanks to his teaching and support, I eventually achieved an A for both O Level Physics and A Level Physics. This was something I would not have imagined when I first started struggling with the subject. Mr Lai also creates a very motivating learning environment. He recognises and celebrates students’ achievements and this encourages everyone to work harder and aim higher.
